Design Tools |
One of the most significant advantages of a linear stepper motor is its ability to be accurately controlled in an open loop system. Open loop control means no feedback information about motor position is needed. This type of control eliminates the need for expensive feedback devices by simply keeping track of input step pulses. A linear stepper motor is a good choice whenever controlled movement is required. |
Saia® linear motor series have enhanced design features and improved performance. |
Available in 3 sizes. All sizes are available as unipolar or bipolar steppers |
Available in strokes up to 150mm |
Allow push and pull operation |
Motor maintains position even when power is switched off
Use the selection overview chart to determine which size offers the desired performance and mechanical specifications. Please refer to the individual specification pages for complete performance and mechanical data. |

The Saia® linear stepper motors are particularly ideal for modulating, mixing or positioning applications. Their constant force over a long stroke makes it also possible to replace bigger solenoids by smaller motors when higher starting forces are requested. Their long life and high reliability are definite advantages in applications involving: |

Diverter and mixing valves |
