| All data is at 23°C coil temperature. Force outputs degrade with elevated temperatures. |
| 1) Total length depends on shaft type selected. |
| 2) With special motor using rare earth magnet type. High force may reduce life time. |

Design Tools |
Saia® linear motor series have enhanced design features and improved performance. |
Available in strokes up to 150mm |
Allow push and pull operation |
Motor maintains position even when power is switched off |
Use the selection overview chart to determine which size offers the desired performance and mechanical specifications. Please refer to the individual specification pages for complete performance and mechanical data.
Specified data for torque values is valid for: |
Specified maximum values and overloading is not permissible |
Duty cycle based on 5 Minute cycle time |
an ambient temperature of 23 ±5¡C |
Max. load torque must be lower than specified |
Step width tolerance is usually about ±5%. The failure is not cumulative.

Standard shafts are used in captive motor designs. The antirotation and guidance is realized in the motor.
For long stroke version non-captive pass through shafts are used. Here the user needs to ensure antirotation as well as guidance (max. 0,2° deviation from axis).
Please refer to the individual size specification pages for product approvals |
The Saia® linear synchronous motors are particularly ideal for any application where direct linear movement is required. Their constant force over a long stroke makes it also possible to replace bigger solenoids by smaller motors when higher starting forces are requested. Their long life and high reliability are definite advantages in applications involving:
